Naoki Mizushima (Masahiro Motoki) is a make up artist in town for a music award. He’s successful career wise, but empty inside. While searching for his hotel on the Bund, he then gets hit by Lin Xi (Vicki Zhao), a cab driver in Shanghai.

To express her sorrow, Lin Xi offers Naoki a free tour ride of Shanghai. Although they can’t speak the same language (Michishi is Japanese and Linsy is Chinese), they start to learn about each over the course of that one evening. With the backdrop of the magical Shanghai night view, Michishi and Linsy perhaps finds true love.
